They've obstructed the vote on some of President Bush's best conservative nominees to be federal judges... and now they're trying to do the same thing to his pro-American nominee to the position of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton.

Most Americans aren't paying much attention to the fight over President Bush's U.N. Ambassador nominee. We've got our families, our work, our schools and churches, to concern ourselves with -- who has time to pay attention to John Bolton's nomination?

But let me assure you of this: THE LIBERALS ARE PAYING ATTENTION. They realize how IMPORTANT this fight is, and they're pulling out ALL THE STOPS to kill Bolton's nomination before it can even be voted on by the full Senate:

• Senators with money to burn are targeting Bolton for defeat. According to Kate Kaye's blog at PersonalDemocracy.com, "John Kerry has launched a Web ad campaign targeting Rhode Islanders as part of his effort to quash the nomination of John Bolton as UN Ambassador. Through Web ads targeted geographically to Rhode Island residents only, Kerry hopes to convince citizens of the rogue state to petition their moderate Republican Senator, Lincoln Chafee, to break ranks with the GOP and vote against Bolton's nomination this week." YES, THAT JOHN KERRY -- he's using millions left over from his failed presidential campaign to thwart President Bush's nominees like Bolton.
  
  
• Senate Democrats are delaying committee hearings on Bolton, hoping to "turn" swing votes like Sen. Chafee. The Associate Press reports that the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has "delayed until next week a vote on John R. Bolton to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations after Democrats asked for more time." If they can delay long enough, they believe they can get their "grassroots" to sway key Senators to vote against Bolton.
  
  
• CNN reports that Sen. Harry Reid -- the man behind the unconstitutional judicial filibusters in the Senate -- is talking about using the same tactics to stop a vote on Bolton's nomination, even though a majority in the Senate would want to vote for him, saying that Reid "was considering expanding the filibuster threat to include Bush's pick to be U.N. Ambassador, John Bolton, whose confirmation hearings begin this week." They're stuck in the minority (thanks to the votes of the PEOPLE), so once again they resort to obstructionism.
  
  
• Radical left-wing groups like "True Majority" (HAH!) are sending millions of e-mails to members, attacking Bolton's consistently PRO-American statements because they go against the U.N.'s mission to "bring the world together"! They actually OBJECT to Bolton by stating, "John Bolton argued against the U.S. 1) paying its back dues to the UN, 2) joining the International Criminal Court, and 3) strengthening disarmament treaties." In reality, the TRUE majority of Americans SUPPORTS Bolton's stand on those issues!

THIS IS THE KIND OF AMBASSADOR WE NEED AT THE UNITED NATIONS!
